What’s Next for Xelr8 Distributors?
Back when I was in college, I befriended someone who I still respect and trust greatly to this day. In fact he was my “voice of reason” and helped me see things from a guy’s perspective when I was having “boy problems!, lol. Nonetheless, he is well established in the network marketing industry and when he called me today, I was thrilled.
So I want you to understand that our conversation was NOT totally about business, some trust was definitely involved.
Moving right along…
My friend has been involved in the industry since college and we were both introduced to it during that time in our lives. He took it and ran with it immediately, and I..well…I chose the long-hard corporate path to start out on!
So when I got the call from him today, I had a pretty good idea about why he was calling. As a top Xelr8 distributor, the company’s sudden change of plans prompted him to want to chat with a real friend before he made anything final somewhere else.
Just recently, all Xelr8 distributors were were notified by their corporate office that the company as they knew it was changing. In fact, they were eliminating the network marketing model from their business. Not only was it a shock to the industry, it was a shock to the Diamonds too!
Now I won’t get into all of our discussion and what his plans may or may not be. However, I would like to point something out to you that I cannot stress enough…
Because things change that are out of our control at times with our companies, it’s very important that you begin to accumulate the skills you need to create an income outside of the specific company you are with.
Company’s change, comp plans change, company’s die, leaders leave, etc. Things like this happen in our business and there is just no way around that. But what should never change, is your commitment to your team, your loyalty to helping others achieve their goals and your level of belief in yourself.
Nonetheless, planning for the unexpected should be the norm. You’ve seen it many times before so you can’t blame it on not knowing how this goes. Others have experienced similar situations as the Xelr8 distributors and others will in the future!
Because things change that are out of our control at times with our companies, it’s very important that you begin to accumulate the skills you need to create an income outside of the specific company you are with. If you refuse to do that, then when a company makes a decision that ultimately effects YOUR income, you will be left holding the bag, and it doesn’t have to be that way, if you pay attention…
You must understand that 50% of your time should go to sponsoring new people and growing your team, but that the other 50% should go to servicing your existing market. Take Tim Sales, Randy Gage and Dani Johnson as examples and ponder on this.
Do you have the chance to learn from them via their training programs?
Don’t they make an income from that as well as what they may be earning from their primary business?
If their company changed or went out of business, would they still have a solid income source still flowing into their households?
You bet your bottom dollar they would! (But would you? How many Xelr8 distributors do?)
It’s because they understand the model, the funded proposal model. And don’t get me wrong, the funded proposal model IS NOT only used online!
It’s all about YOU, Inc. It’s YOU that people are buying into..people tend to believe in YOU more in the beginning than they do themselves, so YOU must always lead from the front.
You may be asking what the bottom line to this story is? Keep in mind that being in 3 or more network marketing companies and being ineffective in all of them does not qualify for multiple streams of income. The smart network marketers have multiple streams of income that are streamlined and totally related to servicing the industry of network marketing and have skills that are marketable and valuable. When you have knowledge that is valuable along with a means to share it, you position yourself to profit from your expertise, up front..whether the person joins you in your primary or not.
You create a dynasty that is built upon the foundation of YOU. And when you do that, no company, no product, no comp plan will ever have you by the…excuse me…balls!
So what’s it gonna be? Are you going to roll up your sleeves and start mastering the skills that can make you wealthy beyond the income from your company, or are you gonna sit back and wait until the day comes when you get that letter from your primary company, like many Xelr8 distributors have done, notifying you that you have just been “let go”?
The choice is yours…
